- Prostate Cancer Patient Survival
- Alpharadin (radium-223 chloride) was found to improve overall survival by patients with CRPC (castration-resistant prostate cancer) and symptomatic bone metastases - survival rates improved by 44%, presenters explained at the Presidential Session at the 2011 European Multidisciplinary Cancer Congress in Stockholm, Sweden. The presenters described how the Phase 3 ALSYMPCA (ALpharadin in SYMptomatic Prostate CAncer) trial met its primary endpoint - significantly improving overall survival

- New Assays Simultaneously Visulize Gene number
- Researchers have discovered a method for simultaneously visualizing gene number and protein expression in individual cells. The fluorescence microscopy technique could permit a detailed analysis of the relationship between gene status and expression of the corresponding protein in cells and tissues, and bring a clearer understanding of cancer and other complex diseases, according to researchers who led the study.
